I believe that a genuine and warm therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful psychological work. I aim to offer a compassionate, accessible, and grounded space where you feel seen as we navigate your difficulties together.
Eating difficulties rarely exist in a vacuum; I believe they often develop as an understandable way to cope with overwhelming life pressures, internal distress, or emotional pain. I recognise how deeply connected eating struggles are with underlying anxiety, perfectionism, low self-esteem, or depression. Through a shared, collaborative formulation, we will make sense of how these patterns developed and what keeps them going, choosing evidence-based strategies tailored to your unique goals and values.
To help you make these changes, our sessions combine practical structure with collaborative, active exploration. We will break down complex feelings into clear, manageable steps, using experiments to safely test out new ways of responding to food, body image triggers, and emotional distress. Alongside CBT-E, I incorporate skills from ACT, DBT, and CFT to help you build distress tolerance, regulate difficult emotions, and practice self-compassion.
My passion lies in helping people move away from rigid, self-critical rules and toward self-compassion, self-care, and emotional resilience. My goal is to help you rebuild trust in yourself and cultivate a peaceful, sustainable relationship with food, your mind, and your body.
